Dubai – Mubasher: UNIKAI Foods announced turning to profits in the first six months of 2015. The company posted a net profit of AED 6.2 million ($1.7 million) against a net loss of AED 20.67 million ($5.6 million) in H1-14, according to a filing to the Dubai Financial Market (DFM).
United Kaipara reported a net profit of AED 6.65 million during the second quarter ended 30 June 2015 against a net loss of AED 6.9 million in the same period the year before.
The dairy firm previously trimmed its losses in Q1-15 by 96.6% to AED 470,000, compared to a loss of AED 13.76 million during the same period in 2014.
The Dubai-listed firm’s shareholders approved on 25 March the company’s continuity and the split of the nominal value of its shares from AED 100 to AED 1 per share.
The company’s capital amounts to AED 30.25 million divided on 302,500 shares at AED 1 par value each.
